Calculating zakat on a savings account

Someone has a savings account into which salary is deposited every month. Please explain how to calculate zakaat on this.

*Wa alikumus salaam.* If you own nisaab (the minimum threshold) or more for one lunar year, you'll give 2.5% of your entire savings.
