Does the Jumu'ah prayer replace Zuhr, and is missing it for work sinful

Does Jumu'ah completely replace Zuhr for those who attend? If a man misses Jumu'ah due to work, is he sinful? If Jumu'ah replaces Zuhr, how should someone who misses it correctly pray Zuhr instead?

For those who attend, the Friday prayer is the obligation, not Zuhr; whether it technically "replaces" Zuhr is a matter the scholars of usul al-fiqh differ on. Whether missing it is sinful depends on the circumstance: if it constitutes genuine necessity (such as a surgeon mid-operation, or a firefighter whose presence prevents a house burning down), one is not sinful; short of extreme necessity or dire need, one is sinful. If Jumu'ah is missed, it must be made up as a regular Zuhr prayer.
