Eating from a non-Muslim family's shared cooking pot
Question
Is it permissible to eat from a non-Muslim family when they buy halal meat but cook it in the same pot they normally cook in?

Answer
If the pot was washed properly then it's permitted. *وَأَمَّا آنِيَةُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَإِنْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُمْ يَطْبُخُونَ فِيهَا النَّجَاسَةَ لَا يَأْكُلُ فِيهَا إِلَّا أَنْ تُغْسَلَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْلَمْ ذَلِكَ لَا بَأْسَ بِالْأَكْلِ فِيهَا* — "As for the utensils of polytheists: if it is known that they cook impurity in them, one should not eat from them unless they are washed; but if that is not known, then there is no harm in eating from them." (al-Fatawa al-Hindiyyah, 5/347)
