Question

There's a trend of Islamic influencers trying 0% beer online, mainly a well-known brand's alcohol-free variant. What is the ruling on this?

Answer

It should not be promoted by Muslim influencers, as it involves tashabbuh (mimicking) the ways of the disbelievers. If profits from sales feed into the general profits of the parent alcohol company, this is impermissible. However, if the drink itself is certified halal by a trustworthy verifier, its consumption is halal.
