**Q: Will eye drops break the fast?** A: No.
**Q: Can ear drops be used while fasting?** A: Permitted if the eardrum is intact; using them will break the fast if the eardrum is perforated.
**Q: Can insulin injections be taken whilst fasting?** A: Yes, permissible and does not break the fast.
**Q: Will a nasal spray break the fast?** A: Yes.
**Q: Can mouthwash be used whilst fasting?** A: Disliked; the fast remains valid unless any is swallowed.
**Q: Is it permissible to brush teeth and use toothpaste while fasting?** A: Disliked; one may brush without toothpaste, or use a miswaak or tongue scraper.
