**Q: Does an injection break the fast?**
A: In principle, no. However, an injection administered directly into the stomach itself would break the fast. Insulin injected in the abdomen does not invalidate the fast, as it enters the subcutaneous layer, not the stomach.

**Q: Does a drip break the fast?**
A: No, but IV drips should only be used for medical reasons while fasting.

**Q: Can I have a blood test done whilst fasting?**
A: Yes, provided it does not weaken you to the point of making fasting difficult.

**Q: Does an asthma pump break the fast?**
A: Yes; only qadha of that fast is required. It is advisable to use the pump at Sehri and Iftaar times.

**Q: If one vomits, does it break the fast?**
A: Normal vomiting does not; only induced vomiting of more than a mouthful breaks the fast.

**Q: What is the ruling on using suppositories while fasting?**
A: Insertion in the rear passage invalidates the fast.
