What is the opinion on making congregational du'a after salah?

Answer

If it is done as a way to teach the congregation Prophetic du'as they would not otherwise learn, this is recommended by agreement of the scholars. However, making du'a silently by oneself after prayer is generally preferable, though many scholars have advocated the preference of congregational du'a. Either way, it should not become a matter of contention among people. *And Allah knows best.*
