Answer
It is not obligatory to finish a complete recitation of the Qur'an during the month of Ramadan, and it is not sinful not to. If you need to rest in order to have the energy to work and earn a living, do that, and try to fit in additional devotional acts whenever you can -- earning a halal living and taking care of your family is also worship.
