Answer
Wa alikumus salaam. Passing directly in front of a person performing salah is a serious matter which the Prophet ﷺ strongly warned against: *لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمَارُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمُصَلِّي مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ، لَكَانَ أَنْ يَقِفَ أَرْبَعِينَ خَيْرًا لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ* — "If the person passing in front of one who is praying knew what sin was upon him, it would be better for him to wait forty than to pass in front of him." However, there is no specific kaffarah prescribed in the Shariʿah for passing in front of someone praying. If a person deliberately commits this act, he should make sincere tawbah and istighfar.
