Answer

Advise him on the great emphasis Islam places on cleanliness and personal hygiene, especially when one is in the masjid. You may mention the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: *إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَتَأَذَّى مِمَّا يَتَأَذَّى مِنْهُ بَنُو آدَمَ* — "Indeed, the angels are harmed by that which harms the children of Adam." Advise him to use deodorant, ʿitr, or perfume if necessary, and ensure that his clothing and body remain clean. If he has a hygienic issue that requires frequent bathing, then when he leaves the masjid to use the washroom, he may quickly take a bath and return promptly, ensuring that he does not remain outside longer than necessary.
