Reward and standing of missing Taraweeh
Question
If someone fasts, tries to avoid sinning, and praises Allah, but does not attend Taraweeh, saying they will attend in the last 10 days of Ramadan instead, what will happen to them?

Answer
Taraweeh is a sunnah mu'akkadah (emphasized sunnah). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever stands (in prayer) in Ramadaan with faith and hoping for reward, his past sins will be forgiven." If one habitually leaves out taraweeh without a valid reason, they will be blameworthy, though not to the extent of leaving a fardh (compulsory act) — but they will be missing out on a huge reward.
