Answer
Radd al-Muhtar: *ويُكَبِّرُ في طريقه إلى المصلى في الفطر* — "He recites the takbir on his way to the place of prayer on Eid al-Fitr." In the Hanafi school he will recite the Takbeer when going out to Eid prayer, i.e. after Fajr until the Eid prayer begins. In the Shafiʿi school: *ويُستحب التكبير في عيد الفطر من غروب الشمس ليلة العيد إلى أن يشرع الإمام في الصلاة* — "It is recommended to recite the takbir on Eid al-Fitr from sunset on the night of Eid until the imam begins the prayer." (al-Majmuʿ Sharh al-Muhadhdhab, Vol. 5, p. 48)
